A very Happy Anniversary to Aleta and Bryan. I cannot believe you have been married for three years. Here is a little photo montage of the journey from C7 to Bliss.
This was when I first met Aleta. Kami was in hair school and had this creepy head to practice on. Sooooo.... of course, we put it on a broomstick, Aleta jumped on the girl she had just met, and we put the head in the second-story window of some boys.
Awww, Aleta trying on her wedding dress. Wait, this can't be right... February of 2004? Didn't she get married in 2005? Yes, she certainly did. THIS picture was taken when Aleta and I just felt like trying on wedding gowns one day. The store ladies didn't like that too much. We pretended like we were getting married, but they knew better.
This was at my birthday party in 2006.
We're #1!
Happy New Year!
I love you guys. Hope you have a good time.

Astihophobia?
I am weird. I think other people are really weird. I know they think the same thing about me. One of my "weirdnesses" is that I have a strange fear.... I am afraid of rubber bands and balloons. I'm also afraid of clowns, so it is a special treat to see a clown holding balloons. I am not afraid of touching rubber bands or balloons, as long as I don't think they will snap on me. At friends' birthday parties when I was younger, they would play that game where you sit on a balloon on a chair until it pops, or try to pop the ones tied to the feet of your playmates. I would usually go to a corner, refuse to participate, and put my hands over my ears. I would tense up to the point of holding my breath and was probably sore the next day from my shoulders being shrugged up to my ears. Ohh, I hated it! Why would you want to cause a loud noise and chance a little rubber piece smacking you at a gazillion miles an hour? I don't get it! You're all crazy!
Look at the creepy look on his face!!! I swear he was in band. Haha... rubber BAND... haha,.
This one doesn't even need a caption. CREEP!

Voodoo. Who doo? You doo!
Okay, let me preface this entry by saying I do not use voodoo or practice satanic or crazy rituals. When I was a young lass, I played "light as a feather" once with my cousins but then we were like um that was weird and stopped. That's it. Having said that, I bought myself a strange present for Administrative Professionals Day.
I about wet my pants seeing this... and immediately headed to the counter with my Voodoo Lou's Office Voodoo Kit in hand. Inside were pins, a spellbook, and this two-sided doll:
Some of the spells include:
So....... I showed Captain Kirk and he loved it and said I had to show it to Robert Pardon. Robert came up, and I said, "Hey Robert, I want to show you something." He came over and I pulled out the doll and stuck a pin in his arm. Robert smiled... no laughter.... (I'm beginning to think he really thinks we do voodoo) and then said ,"Ouch! My ARM!" then he walked off. Maybe this is not so funny to others as it is to me? Oh man. He is a kick in the pants. What a character.
Aren't they sweet?!! I love this day! Also, Gail gave me a Cadbury fruit 'n' nut candy bar, and the girls also gave me the best present known to mankind... or just mostly myself:

The big 3-1
Tax day happens once a year. Miraculously, every year since I can remember, it has fallen on the same day as my big brother's birthday.... April 15. My mom always says that when we were kids, I said that Evan was my hero. Evan said, "There isn't anything I wouldn't do for my sister." Aww.... This is a shout out to Evan Walter Andersen, the oldest of the Andersen clan. Happy Birthday, buddy, and here are 15 reasons I love you (for April 15).
- You make me laugh
- I can quote Celebrity Jeopardy with you
- You have two of the best kids in the world
- You protected me (most of the time) from Spencer
- You married a rock star
- You are always asking me how my dates went, etc
- You are a handsome devil
- You are ambitious
- You are goal-oriented
- You are athletic
- You freaking ran the St. George Marathon and the SLC 1/2.
- You have asthma and allergies but don't let them stop you or get you down
- You are so easy to talk to and get along with
- You are computer savvy - maybe too savvy
- You are my brother and that's enough! Aww... cheesy....

I love this guy.
I am in love. Head over heels, crazy in love. In the words of Beyonce, "Got me lookin' so crazy your love". Poetry. The only problem with the love of my life is the fact that he doesn't know I exist quite yet. Oh, believe you me, he will. I told my parents last night, after the best episode of the year (yes, out of two), that when Jim (John Krasinski) and I meet, we will go on one date, he will join the church, and we will get married. I don't want to put a spoiler on here for people like Heather Beck, who haven't watched this season or last night's episode. I'll just say I screamed for about 10 seconds... loud, obnoxious screaming. Good thing I was with my fam and they will love me forever no matter what. Just look at him. Am I wrong? Is he not phenomenal?

Pet peeves and things that take me to a happy place
Going along with the theme of contrasts, I have a new list today. These include my biggest pet peeves, and those actions/thoughts/whatever which take me to my happy place....
- First and foremost, people talking on their cell phones in the public restroom. I will purposely be louder if someone is in there on their cell phone.
- People thinking they know what's best for me and my life (I know this one sounds snobby)... I just don't like it when people say, "Lindsey, you need to move to [insert city here]" or "Lindsey, you should serve a mission" or "Lindsey, you need to eat more brownies. You're looking too thin." I understand they are just trying to help, but they don't know what's between me and the Lord, and they also don't know that by telling me these things, it makes me realize how pathetic they think I am. :)
- Going along with the last one... people telling me that I just need to try this certain type of sushi, and then I'll like it! Or this restaurant's teriyaki sauce, etc. I'm not ignorant. I do try them out to please my amigos, but I still end up vomiting on my plate. Thanks for trying, though.
- Drivers. Traffic. You know it.
- Poli's lack of potty-training.
- Shell necklaces on the male folk.
- Thieves, liars, filthy kitchens
- Cupboards, drawers left open.
- Coaches at Prosper thinking I am their personal secretary.
Things that bring me to my happy place
- Root beer
- Random acts of kindness
- Funny emails and youtube videos
- Family/Friends
- Heather Beck
- Napoleon
- Heather Andersen
- My parents' house - sacred space for me
- Mariah Carey
- Babies
- Pictures of my nieces and nephews
- Nice people
- Cheesecake
- Chocolate
- Les Miserables (Ironic)
- Singing
- Belting music in my car
- Movies
- Bill Murray
- Baths
- Blogging
- April 16 - the day AFTER taxes are due
- Secret blogs
- Love
- Peace
- Never Been Kissed
- Fond memories
- Laughing - especially when something has hit us so hard, that Heather and I are completely silent in breathless laughter
- This list could go on forever.... i better stop.....
- The Gospel and all that entails
This was quite possibly the cheesiest entry anyone has ever made. Ask me if I care. I am now in my happy place after typing all those... and if you want to get me out, just tell me how to get married. Thanks for the patience and for reading my blog.
