Tonight...

This will be me.

Hope you get it. It is a joke, but if you know it, you know it. Hopefully, sometime we will get to this point:

Joking again, but I hope you get it.

Summer Sandals

Okay, so I try to follow trends. I like to attempt to be fashionable. So the big craze right now? Gladiator Sandals. So I think they're ugly, and stupid, but then the more I look at them, the more I like them. I am totally coming around.
So, we go to my favorite cheap shoe store, Forever Young, and holy cow. NOTHING good right now. Thanks guys.
So, I'm forced to go to Mervyn's, my not-so-favorite shoe store. Guess what... HUGE sale! So I go hog-wild, as they say, and start trying on every gladiator shoe in the store. I was in love. There was one small problem... I have wide feet, with high arches.... oh okay, those sandals all looked HIDEOUS on me! I have never thought a good-looking shoe looked bad on a foot! Oh, believe you me, they can be ugly. So, I was quickly losing hope. Then, I found this little number on oldnavy.com and what's that? it's leather? and $20? and strappy so it will hide my wide feet? Sold. I am wearing them today and am in love.
So, then I went on this wild spree and looked for more gladiators that may match my new, innovative thinking of how to hide my wide feet. These caught my glance and I pretty much swooned (what's a single girl to swoon over, but shoes?) What's that, piperlime.com? $50? I don't love them THAT much! Okay... maybe I do... dangit. So then I racked my conscience for a few days... should I spend the money and just deal with it... or should I be frugal? Do I need them? Of course. Right? So right before I am about to plunge, I decide to check out the brand and style on google. What's that sears.com? $19.99? On sale? Sold.
What do you all think?

The big 3-0

So today marks the second of a string of 30th birthdays in our family this year. Marissa turned 30 in January, and Ryan will follow in 2.5 weeks. The above picture was during my trip to Cali to visit Jenn and Evan and the boys. Jenn posted that Ben is crawling now!! http://jennseeg.blogspot.com Unbelievable.

Happy Birthday, Jenn, and thanks for being an awesome mom and an incredible example to me. I always love hanging out with you and laughing. I will never forget losing control in Sacrament meetings with you during prayers or after songs (cough... Heather), or the time Scott flew off the raft in Flaming Gorge.... :) or this quote: "You know what gives you man-boobs, Scott? Smokin' pot!" You are the best and I look up to you more than you know (no pressure). Also, I love Sam's fist in this next photo overlooking Alcatraz.

You are no longer Big Tuna. From henceforth, you shall be known as Big Haircut.

So, how do we feel about the new haircut?

Welcome home Isabel Ruby Lieberstein!

Okay, I guess I am too into the show. If you noticed that Angela (The Office) has been plumper on the past few episodes, your eyes were not playing tricks on you. She was hiding her baby bump. On Saturday, Angela Kinsey welcomed her first child into the world. Isabel weighed in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Jenna Fischer (Pam) was actually there when she went into labor. How sweet. They're real-life best friends. Some day, I will be in their circle. Some day.

The real question is: Will this cause any problems or postponements for this week's episode and next week's season finale?

No.

Some of you also may be asking, "Why is she so selfish and having a baby when she should be doing the show?" That is your opinion.
